2020 Range Rover Sport vs 2019 Range Rover Sport
Serving San Diego, CA
The Range Rover Sport has unrelenting appeal from bumper to bumper, and its powerful style is combined with the capabilities under the hood to support its appearance. This is a midsize luxury SUV that is now in its second generation. This generation started in 2014, and the model received a major facelift a few years ago. Numerous changes have been made between the 2019 Range Rover Sport and the 2020 Range Rover Sport. If you are preparing to take home a new midsize luxury SUV, reach out to our team at Land Rover San Diego for a closer look at these two popular model years.
The 2020 Range Rover Sport is offered in six trims. These are the same trims as you will find in the 2019 model year. Various powertrains are available across these trims, and all of the 2019 trims carry forward to the 2020 model year. One of these is a 3.0-liter, I6 engine that produces 355 horsepower. Another powertrain is a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 gas engine that generates 518 horsepower. For the 2020 model year, the Range Rover Sport is available with a 4-cylinder plug-in hybrid variant. This is a 2.0-liter, I4 hybrid that provides you with 398 combined horsepower. Some of the mechanical features that are paired with these and other available powertrains vary, so further review and a test drive may be essential components of your vehicle selection process.
Throughout the exterior, the 2020 Range Rover Sport is unchanged from the 2019 model. Its style is defined by a relatively boxy profile with a flat, angled roof and a prominent hood that edges down into the grille at the last minute. The sides have an indented contour along the top and a modest outcropping along the bottom that add personality to the vehicle. A body-colored element visually divides the rectangular grille and geometric LED headlights from the lower air vents and foglamp portals. At the rear, you will find dual exhaust tips, a roof-mounted antenna, a spoiler, and a continuation of the geometric styling.
Some updates have been made to the features between the 2019 and 2020 model years. For all trims, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard for the 2020 model year. Additional equipment holds steady, but you will find that standard features have been shuffled slightly. Some of the equipment that could be in your Range Rover Sport for either model year are adaptive cruise control, a heads-up display, a heated steering wheel, dual-tone interior with premium leather, a Touch-Pro Duo infotainment system, assistive driver’s safety features, auto height adjustment for the power liftgate and other equipment.
