Serving San Diego, CA
Since the original release of the Range Rover Velar in 2017, this compact crossover luxury SUV has taken the world by storm. It is designed to be sophisticated and luxurious while also delivering essential power and functionality. The 2019 Range Rover Velar is a well-equipped SUV that comes with the technologies and capabilities that you desire, but you may be wondering if the updated 2020 Velar is a better option. Both of these vehicles are included in the line’s first-generation and share many features, but there are a few minor differences that could influence your decision.
The 2019 Velar is offered with four powertrains. The base powertrain is a turbocharged I4, 2.0-liter engine that is paired with a ZF 8-speed transmission, and it provides you with 247 horsepower. At the top end, your 2019 Velar may come with a 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 engine that will impress you with 380 horsepower. These powertrain options are unchanged for the 2020 model year. However, the 2020 model is available in the SV Autobiography Special Edition, which comes with 5.0-liter, V8 engine and generates 550 horsepower. Also, both model years are outfitted with an electronic air suspension system, advanced dampers, and many other performance-enhancing features.
The 2019 Range Rover Velar has a sporty, sophisticated body style with a gorgeous mesh grille and aggressive bumper design elements. The geometric LED headlights jut backward through the fenders and draw attention to the side turn signals and the vehicle’s overall smoothed-out contouring. The 2020 Range Rover Velar is mostly unchanged except for bold changes to the SV Autobiography Special Edition vehicle. This limited edition for 2020 has larger wheels, a quad exhaust system, an integrated and the lowered tailgate spoiler and a revamped front bumper.
From front to rear and throughout the interior, the 2019 and 2020 Velar SUVs have high-quality materials and advanced technologies. For example, you can appreciate two digital display screens mounted in the second stack and a third screen for the driver’s instrumentation gauges. A heads-up display, a navigation system, assistive safety features, an advanced audio system, power seats with memory and other features are found in both model years. The special edition for 2020 also comes with steel paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel, a touch-pad controller for the infotainment equipment, carbon fiber inserts in the door panels and a few other advanced features.
